LaLiga Santander: 30,626 season tickets/club, Barça, Real Madrid and Atlético top the European Top 5

The 20 LaLiga Santander clubs have an average of 30,626 season ticket holders in 2019-20, which is the best performance in the European Top 5 leagues (LaLiga Santander, Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 Conforama).

With 85,000, FC Barcelona is the Spanish club with the highest number of season ticket holders. Barça also dominates the European ranking, where they are ahead of two other LaLiga Santander clubs: Real Madrid CF (61,590 season ticket holders) and Club Atlético de Madrid (57,813). Seven Spanish clubs have more than 39,000 season ticket holders and are among the top 15 clubs in the European Top 5.

LaLiga Santander is the only Top 5 league where season ticket holders are not automatically counted in the attendance for matches. A season ticket holder who does not attend a match is not taken into account, unlike in the other four leagues. This explains why the average number of season ticket holders of the LaLiga Santander clubs in 2019-20 (30,626) is higher than the average number of spectators in 2018-19 (26,585).
