Bundesliga: Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz lottery operator extends with Mainz until 2016-17

The lottery operator, Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz, extended its contract with FSV Mainz (Bundesliga) until 2016-17, the club announced on 21/03/2014. Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz is the lottery operator of the Rhineland-Palatinate Land.

The agreement includes visibility on advertising boards at the stadium and the naming rights of a stand of the Coface Arena (34,000 seats), called the Lotto Rheinland-Pfalz Tribüne. The endowment is estimated at €1.2m per year.

  • FSV Mainz announced a budget of €72m for the 2013-14 season, including €25m on payroll expenses, an increase of 9.7% compared to 2012-13.
  • They recorded a record turnover of €68.4m for the 2012-13 season, a slight increase of €100,000 (+0.15%) compared to 2011-12.
  • The club also recorded a record profit before tax of €8.3m, an increase of €800,000 (+10.7%) compared to the previous season.
  • Club payroll expenses reached €22.8m in 2012-13 (€22.7m in 2011-12), of which €18.1m (79.4%) was for the salaries of players under contract.
