SSC Napoli: a 5-year agreement with the City of Naples for the use of the Stadio San Paolo

"The City of Naples (ITA) and Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli (Serie A TIM) signed today, in the presence of Luigi De Magistris, Mayor of Naples, a five-year operating agreement, renewable for another five years, with regard to the use of the Stadio San Paolo," announced the Neapolitan club, on 17/10/2019.

The City of Naples owns the 55,000-capacity stadium, renovated during the 2018-19 season to organize the 2019 Summer Universiade (international multi-sports university competition, from 03 to 14/07/2019). According to the Italian media, the City will receive a fixed share of €850,000 per season from Napoli, in addition to a variable portion based on the revenues generated by the club in the context of the sale of advertising space within the stadium, estimated at €50,000.

The signing of this agreement puts an end to several months of tension between the club and the Naples City Council regarding the conditions of the use of the San Paolo.
