Italy: renewal of the agreement (born in 1928) between the FIGC and the public group Rai until 2022

The FIGC and the public television group Rai have extended, until 2022, the year of the World Cup in Qatar, the agreement concerning the broadcasting, in Italy, of the matches of all the Italian national teams: the men's and women's A teams, the U-21 and youth teams, announced the two partners on 21/10/2019.

The uninterrupted relationship between the Italian Football Federation and Rai began in 1928, with a match between Italy and Hungary (4-3, 25/03/1928), counting for the "International Cup" (ancestor of the Euro), played at the Stadio Flaminio in Rome and broadcast on via radio.

"Rai is the home of the national teams; the Federation and rai form an important pair that tells the story of our country, periods of change, sometimes sad, but always with great strength and enthusiasm," stated Gabriele Gravina, president of FIGC, accompanied by men's team manager Roberto Mancini, and Milena Bertolini, women's team manager.
