Paris 2024: a medal, the flame and Marianne form the emblem of the Olympics and Paralympic games

"The first symbol is the medal for sport, the second is the flame for sharing, energy and transmission, and the third is Marianne for the values of France," stated Tony Estanguet, president of Paris 2024, in presenting the new logo of the games "which is the same for the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games, which is a first", at the Grand Rex theatre in Paris (FRA) on 21/10/2019.

Created by the agency Royalties-Ecobranding, this new emblem is the visual brand of Paris 2024. "During the application phase, the emblem had one objective: to enhance the attractiveness and international reputation of Paris and France, as the stakes are different for Paris 2024," explained the organizers of the 2024 Olympic Games. "With the approach of the passing of torch between Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, we made the choice of an emblem which recounts our vision of the Games," said Tony Estanguet.
