DFL: Robert Klein (GER) extended as chief executive officer of Bundesliga International GmbH

"The DFL has extended the contract with Robert Klein as CEO of Bundesliga International (BLI). Klein joined the DFL subsidiary in May 2017 (as chief commercial officer, see below). With effect from 01/01/2018, the 49-year-old took on overall responsibility for BLI as CEO," announced the German Football league on 23/10/2019. The duration of the extension was not disclosed.

"We see further potentials in international marketing. We trust Robert Klein and the BLI team to build on these in the best possible way in the interests of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2," stated Christian Seifert, CEO of the DFL and chairman of the supervisory board of BLI, on 23/10/2019.
