1. FSV Mainz 05: turnover (€145.4m) and net profit (€15.8m) records in 2018-19

1. FSV Mainz 05 (Bundesliga) recorded a record turnover of €145.4m in the financial year 2018-19 (from 01/07/2018 to 30/06/2019), an increase of 27.4% compared to 2017-18 (€114.1m), announced the German club at the end of its annual general meeting of its members, on 21/10/2019.

"The significant increase in the annual turnover of the club is mainly due to its successful transfer policy," said the club from Mainz (Rhineland-Palatinate), which shows gains from player transfers of €55.9m over the last year, its largest source of income, just ahead of media rights revenue (€55.7m).

The Mainz club also achieved a net profit of €15.8m in 2018-19, also a record and a sharp increase compared to the previous year (€3.3m). "For the current 2019-20 season, Mainz 05 forecasts a total turnover of just under €120m."
