Germany: the DFB proposes Rainer Koch as a UEFA Executive Committee and FIFA Council candidate

Rainer Koch, vice-president of the DFB, will be a candidate for the UEFA Executive Committee and the FIFA Council at the 44th UEFA Ordinary Congress in Amsterdam (NED) on 03/03/2020, announced the German Football Association on 25/10/2019. The DFB Executive Board unanimously proposed Rainer Koch as a candidate at its meeting in Frankfurt (Germany).

If elected, Rainer Koch will succeed Reinhard Grindel, who, after resigning as president of the DFB on 02/04/2019, also resigned from his international duties at UEFA and FIFA on 10/04/2019.

Candidates for a one-year term on the UEFA Executive Committee must be notified to the European Confederation before 03/01/2020 (two months before the election), those for a three-year term as a European representative on the FIFA Council must be registered no later than 03/12/2019 (three months before the vote).
