Sweden: Karl-Erik Nilsson re-elected president of the Federation for a third one-year term

Karl-Erik Nilsson was unanimously re-elected president of the SvFF (Swedish Football Association) for a third one-year term at the annual meeting held on 22/03/2014, said the Swedish Federation on the same day .

"I am grateful for the faith put in me to continue leading Swedish football, which is a strong and an important part of Swedish society," said the former international referee and head of the Swedish Federation since 23/03/2012.

The annual general meeting was held in the presence of Michael van Praag, president of the Dutch football federation and member of the executive committee of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations).

• Sweden did not qualify for the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, 12/06 to 13/07/2014).
  • it was eliminated in the knock out phase by Portugal (0-1, 2-3)
• The country hosted the 2013 Women's Euro, won by Germany on 28/07/2013 (1-0 against Norway)
