MLS franchises have, on average, 10,200 season-ticket holders for 2014. With 34,000 season-ticket holders, the Seattle Sounders franchise have the largest subscriber base in the league. That leaves a great deal of disparity with Chivas USA (Los Angeles), which have 2,500 season passes sold for 2014.

The Portland Timbers have the highest subscriber rate in MLS; subscribers occupy 75% of the seats available at Providence Park (18,600). The franchise chose to close its season ticket sales campaign for 2014 upon reaching 15,300, and has a waiting list of more than 9,000 fans for the 2015 season. Fans pay $50 (€36) to be on the list.

Sporting Kansas City (14,000 season ticket holders), MLS champions in 2013, also have a waiting list of more than 3,000 supporters.
