European Cups reform: "More European matches are essential for the development of football" (ECA)

"Member feedback has continuously emphasised that reform is necessary and that more European matches are essential for the development of football as a whole," said the European Club Association on 29/10/2019, at the end of a series of meetings organised across Europe (see calendar below) attended by representatives of 122 ECA member clubs.

"To update members and gather feedback on key items relating to the future of European club football" - these are the objectives of the ECA Platform for Executive Consultation (PEC) Meetings organised throughout Europe, announced the European Club Association on 03/10/1919.

"This series of PEC Meetings helped us to gain greater insight into how we can enhance the game as we look to ensure its continued development. I am looking forward to maintaining this dialogue with the membership in the months ahead across all relevant ECA forums," said Michele Centenaro, general secretary of the ECA.
