AS Roma: a turnover of €232.8m (-7.2%) and a net loss of €24.3m in 2018-19

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) posted a turnover of €232.8m (excluding capital gains on player transfers) for the financial year 2018-19 (from 01/07/2018 to 30/06/2019), a 7.2% decrease compared with the record financial year 2017-18 (€250.9m), according to the accounts approved by the club's shareholders' general assembly on 04/10/2019.

AS Roma posted an EBITDA of €100.6m at 30/06/62019, compared to €66.7m a year earlier, thanks to a capital gains on player transfers of €130.1m (compared to €63.5m in 2017-18). Excluding transfers, the EBITDA of the Roman club was negative at €31.7m. The club also posted a net loss of €24.3m, slightly down on the previous year (-€25.5m).

"The drop in ticketing revenue (-€10.9m) and TV rights (-€16.6m) can be explained by the club's run in the Champions League (Round of 16 in 2018-19, semi-final in 2017-18).
