World Rugby: IMG extends as exclusive commercial agency partner until the end of 2023

The media and marketing rights agency IMG has extended its partnership with World Rugby as an exclusive commercial agency until the end of 2023, according to specialised media on 31/10/2019. IMG had extended its exclusive partnership with the international body "to include all major events until the end of 2020," on 24/10/2017.

This strategic partnership will continue to include the Women's Rugby World Cup, the World Rugby U20 Championship and the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series (7-a-side rugby), and will make more than 2,500 hours of programmes available on the digital platform and sports video archive IMG Replay. IMG also manages all World Rugby licenses and merchandising rights.

IMG obtained the licensing and merchandising rights for the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups as well as the Women's and U20 Rugby World Cups, on 03/10/2017.
