Italy: monkey chants aimed at Balotelli denied by Hellas Verona who suspend ultra for 10 years

"Hellas Verona FC (Serie A TIM) has adopted a forfeiture measure (stadium ban) against Luca Castellini (head of the club's ultras) which, proportionate to the seriousness of the facts, in light of the provisions of Articles 6 and 7 of the Code of Conduct, being a conduct based on considerations and expressions seriously contrary to those that distinguish the ethical principles and values of our club, provides for the suspension of Mr. Luca Castellini by Hellas Verona FC until June 30/06/2030," announced the Verona (ITA) club on 05/11/2019.

Luca Castellini, a militant neo-fascist, already banned from the stadium until 2022, said on an Italian radio station after the Hellas Verona - Brescia Calcio game (2-1, Matchday 11 of the 2019-20 Serie A TIM season) on 04/11/2019: "Balotelli is Italian because he has Italian nationality, but he can never be completely Italian" (Mario Balotelli, born in Sicily, is of Ghanaian origin and was raised by an Italian family from the Brescia region).
