Italy: Lega Serie A justifies decision to host the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia on 22/12/2019

The 32^nd edition of the Supercoppa Italiana between Juventus FC (2018-19 Italian champions) and SS Lazio (winner of the 2018-19 Coppa Italia) will take place at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday 22/12/2019 at 19:45 local time (17:45 CET), announced the Lega Serie A on 05/11/2019.

"We have a contract with Saudi Arabia for three editions of the Supercoppa, one of which has already taken place in Jeddah (Juventus FC - AC Milan, 1-0, at the King Abdullah Stadium, on Wednesday 16/01/2019). The League wishes to respect the contract, we are not fighting against Saudi Arabia: only a request based on legitimate arguments from both clubs could prevent us from playing it.
