FIFA: cooperation agreement with the World Leagues Forum for the global development of football

"FIFA and the World Leagues Forum (WLF), the body representing the professional football leagues at world level, have signed a cooperation agreement to work together on the development of professional football," announced the two bodies on 07/11/2019.

The agreement was signed by Gianni Infantino (ITA-SUI) president of FIFA and Christian Seifert (GER), chairman of the WLF and CEO of the DFL, at the International Federation's headquarters in Zurich (SUI).

"This is the first time that the football's world governing body and the professional football leagues have entered into such an agreement, which will see FIFA and the WLF join forces to provide together knowledge and expertise to improve professionalisation worldwide," said the bodies.
