"The letters KBVB (Koninklijke Belgische Voetbalbond / "Royal Belgian Football Association" in Flemish) and URBSFA (Union royale belge des sociétés de football association, in French) have been replaced by the letters RBFA (Royal Belgian Football Association), which are more international," announced the Belgian Federation on 07/11/2019.

"Our 125th anniversary (1895 - 2020) is the perfect opportunity to modernize the image of our Federation and our three brands - the Diables Rouges ("Red Devils" in English, men's team), the Red Flames (women's team) and the 1895 Official Belgian Fan Club," explained the RBFA.

"This is not a radical revolution, but rather an evolution since the three fundamental elements of our old emblem, namely the crown, the laurels and the three Belgian colours, have been preserved," said the Royal Belgian Football Association.
