Spain: first Supercopa de España in a "final four" format in Saudi Arabia from 08-12/01/2020

Valencia CF - Real Madrid CF on Wednesday 08/01/2020, then FC Barcelona - Club Atlético de Madrid on Thursday 09/01/2020, are the semi-finals of the Supercopa de España drawn at the Ciudad del Fútbol, in Las Rozas, near Madrid (ESP) on 11/11/2019. The first edition of this new "final four" format (with the Spanish champions and the second place LaLiga Santander club, the winners and finalist of the Copa del Rey) will be held at the King Abdullah Stadium (62,000 capacity), north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 08 to 12/01/2020.

"The next three editions of the Supercopa de España will take place in Saudi Arabia and will be organised in winter in order to reduce the competition calendar, as requested by clubs and players," announced the Spanish Federation on 11/11/2019. The Supercopa is the only Spanish competition that can be played outside Spain, according to FIFA guidelines.
