RFEF: adidas extends as equipment supplier of the Spanish national teams until 2030 (media)

adidas has extended as a partner of the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF) and as an equipment supplier for the Spanish national teams for an additional four seasons (2027-2030), according to Spanish media on 11/11/2019. To mark the occasion, the German brand presented Spain's home kits for Euro 2020, which will be held in 12 countries from 12/06 to 12/07/2020 (see below).

The RFEF extended its partnership with the German equipment manufacturer adidas until 2026, in September 2015. The partnership between the two parties began in 1981. This partnership was worth an estimated €18m (+bonuses) per season for the Spanish Federation.

The Spanish Federation had announced that it wished to unilaterally terminate its contract with adidas in order to change equipment manufacturers on 20/05/2019. The RFEF wanted to obtain an annual amount of €30m from its next kit supplier, according to Spanish media. The Federation finally decided not to end its contract with adidas, given that the risk of compensation would be too high in the event of legal proceedings.
