World Leagues Forum: Enrique Bonilla (MEX) appointed chairman at annual meeting in Marrakesh (MAR)

"The WLF appointed Enrique Bonilla, executive president of Liga MX (MEX) as its new Chairman. Bonilla succeeds Christian Seifert, CEO ofthe Deutsche Fußball Liga (GER) whose mandate was coming to end. It is the first time that a non-European will chair the WLF." announced the World Leagues Forum at the end of its annual meeting organized in Marrakesh (MAR) on 14 and 15/11/2019.

"Christian Seifert will remain vice-chairman of the WLF together with Don Garber, commissioner of Major League Soccer (USA). This triumvirate will continue to form the management board of the WLF," said the global association of football leagues.

"I am extremely honoured to having been appointed chairman of the Worldleagues Forum. It is an opportunity to help develop and improve our beloved sport and to position the leagues in the football landscape," stated Enrique Bonilla, executive president of Liga MX and new chairman of the WLF, on 15/11/2019.
