Brazil 2014: "We will have potentially some risks coming" regarding the stadiums (J. Valcke, FIFA)

"We will have potentially some risks coming at the last minute because we have not tried and tested all the facilities," said Jerome Valcke, general secretary of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), about the stadiums hosting the World Cup in Brazil (12/06 to 13/07/2014), after a meeting of the LOC (Local Organising Committee), on 28/03/2014.

"Everything was signed long ago, there was no surprise, the responsibilities of each party were known by the host cities, the local organising committee and the highest level of the State. It’s a lesson and definitely we will act differently and we will have to find a different way of working in Russia in 2018, where there will also be 12 host cities, but with only one private stadium" said Jérôme Valcke.

Jérôme Valcke attended meetings which will be the "last occasion for the organisers to take stock of the operational preparations before the respective FIFA World Cup installations begin to be implemented in all twelve host cities", in Rio de Janeiro from 23/03/2014 to 27/03/2014.
