Top 5 leagues: main shirt sponsorship generates an average of €10.9m per club in 2019-20 (+11.1%)

94 of the 98 clubs in the European Top 5 leagues (Premier League, LaLiga Santander, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 Conforama) have a main shirt sponsor in 2019-20, three more than in 2018-19, as of 12/11/2019. Only four Serie A TIM clubs do not have an annual (full season contract) main shirt sponsor: SSC Lazio does not currently have a main shirt sponsor, SPAL 2013 has temporary sponsors, UC Sampdoria has a chest sponsor (secondary) and Genoa CFC does not have a main shirt sponsor (as of 12/11/2019).

98 sponsorship contracts were signed by these 94 clubs, a few of which have multiple main shirt sponsors (Stade de Reims, RC Strasbourg Alsace, Angers SCO and Cagliari Calcio). Of these 98 agreements, News Tank Football was able to compile the sponsorship amounts for 85 of them. The average value of a shirt sponsorship contract for 2019-20 amounts to €10.9m, 11.1% more than in 2018-19 (€9.81m).
