Cristiano Ronaldo (POR, Real Madrid) has become the new global ambassador of Emirates airline, on 28/03/2014.

The Ballon d'Or 2013 winner will be involved in the advertising campaign of Emirates for the 2014 World Cup. The airline made a commercial featuring Cristiano Ronaldo and Pele (triple winner of the World Cup in 1958, 1962 and 1970) on an A380 aircraft. The former player, born 23/10/1940, became a brand ambassador on 16/01/2014.

In addition to its two international ambassadors, Emirates ensures optimum visibility at the competition due to the fact that it is an official partner of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) and the 2014 World Cup.
