The sixth season of the 2019-20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship begins with the Saudia Diriyah (Saudi Arabia) E-Prix 2019, on 22 and 23/11/2019. The world electric car championship consists of 14 events in 12 different cities and ends on the streets of London (United Kingdom) with two races, on 25 and 26/07/2020.

The Paris E-Prix, which will take place on 18/04/2020 at Les Invalides is the 8th stage of the world electric car championship. The Paris E-Prix extended its contract with Formula E until 2021-22 on 03/04/2019.

Frenchman Jean-Éric Vergne, double defending champion for DS Techeetah, will defend his title versus 23 other drivers in 12 teams. "Among them, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche who are joining their compatriots Audi and BMW in the battle. The four German manufacturers are meeting together on the track for the very first time in the history of motor racing," said the circuit organisers on 11/21/2019.
