eSports: Girona FC (LaLiga SmartBank) launches a team with the recruitment of a FIFA player

Girona FC (LaLiga SmartBank) has created an eSports section by recruiting a player - Ángel López (ESP), aka "Angelito98" - who will play on the FIFA 20 video game, announced the club on 19/11/2019.

"With the new eSports division, the club wants to offer new content and experiences to its fans as well as reach new audiences. This new project is another example of the digital transformation process that the club has undertaken in recent years," said Girona FC.

Angelito98, "considered one of the top five Spanish players on FIFA 20", will participate in the eLaLiga, LaLiga's eSports league. As a support for the competition, Girona FC will organise a tournament open to its fans, which will allow the winner to join the club's eSports team.
