Germany: Ralf Köttker leaves his post as director of public relations of the Federation

After more than 10 years as director of public relations and supporters, as well as deputy general secretary of the German Football Federation, Ralf Köttker leaves the DFB to devote himself to new professional tasks, announced the German football authority on 20/11/2019.

A former journalist for Die Welt, Ralf Köttker, born on 16/02/1970, joined the Federation in 2009 as managing director of the newly created DFB Online GmbH. In this capacity, he developed the online communications of the German Football Federation, both editorial and conceptual, strategically realigned the management of media in digital formats and initiated the development of various social media platforms, said the DFB.

In 2016, Ralf Köttker became deputy general secretary in addition to his role as director of public relations. Since 2018 he has also been responsible for sustainable development and CSR projects for the DFB.

The DFB and Ralf Köttker agreed on a friendly contract termination, and agreed to continue to work together on different projects in the future, added the German Federation.
