Bundesliga: Reinhard Rauball re-elected president of Borussia Dortmund until 2022

Reinhard Rauball (72 years old) has been re-elected president of Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) for an additional three years (until 2022) at the club's annual general members' assembly on 24/11/2019. The lawyer by training received 99.82% of the votes of the members present (1,165 of a total of 159,037 members).

This is Reinhard Rauball's eighth term as president of Borussia Dortmund's association (BV Borussia 09 e.V. Dortmund, part of the Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA business structure). He has held this position continuously since 2004, after having also held it previously, from 1979 to 1982 and from 1984 to 1986.

Reinhard Rauball's re-election as the head of Borussia Dortmund comes three months after the end of his term as president of the DFL. The German League approved the change in the organisation of its structure at its last general meeting on 21/08/2019. The position of president of the body, which Reinhard Rauball had held since 2007, has now been abolished. However, Rauball remains an honorary president.
