2021-2024 European cups TV rights in France: a second round of bidding on Thursday 28/11/2019

A second round of bidding will be organized by UEFA and the Swiss agency TEAM Marketing for the call for tenders for the rights to broadcast, in France, the European cups (UEFA Champions League, Europa League and future Europa Conference League), for the 2021-2024 cycle, this Thursday 28/11/2019, according to information revealed by the French media L'Equipe on 27/11/2019.

The results should be known this Thursday 28/11/2019 from 15:00 CET, according to L'Equipe, unless an additional new round of bidding is organized.

The media and telecom group Altice Europe currently holds the broadcasting rights, in France, to the Champions League and the Europa League, for the 2018-2021 cycle, for an estimated amount of €350m per season (of which €315m for the Champions League). The pay-TV groups Canal + (€50m per season) and beIN Sports (€90m per season) were the holders of the rights to broadcast, in France, to the Champions League for the 2015-2018 cycle.
