MLS: MoneyGram to acquire the naming rights of FC Dallas training centre

The American company, MoneyGram, has acquired the naming rights of the new training centre of FC Dallas, playing in the MLS (Major League Soccer, North American Championship), announced the franchise on 28/03/2014.

The complex of 48.5 hectares, comprised of 19 fields, will now be called the MoneyGram Soccer Park. The centre belongs to the municipality of Dallas, which signed an agreement for its operation and maintenance with the FC Dallas franchise on 23/10/2013. MoneyGram has been a partner of FC Dallas since 2012. The money transfer company targets largely the Hispanic community that supports the Texan club.

"Any occasion we have to touch the local communities we serve is an opportunity that’s hard to pass up," said Hal Gronfein, vice-president of marketing at MoneyGram. The Dallas-based company has been a partner of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1) since 03/08/2013. The contract between the two parties will run until 2016.
