FC Barcelona launch their official page on the Chinese social network, Sina Weibo

FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) launched their official page on the Chinese social network, Sina Weibo, on 27/03/2014. The page has nearly 267,000 subscribers four days after its launch on 31/03/2014. The Spanish club will provide exclusive news and photos on the official page and hopes to take advantage of the more than 500 million users of Sina Weibo to improve its digital presence in China.

"We want to make Barça a football icon in China. To establish bonds of relationship with our fans around the world is a club priority. The launch of the official account on Sina Weibo allows us to connect with the millions of Chinese who support Barça from a distance," indicated Dídac Lee, director of media and communications at FC Barcelona on 27/03/2014.

FC Barcelona are the team with the most fans on social networks worldwide, across all platforms. The club surpassed the 100 million followers mark on 13/02/2014.
