Liverpool FC: public consultation initiated for the extension of Anfield to 61,000 capacity

Liverpool FC (Premier League) has initiated the first phase of a public consultation process held mainly for fans, local residents and local businesses, on the proposed expansion of Anfield (53,394 capacity) from 29/11 to 13/12/2019.

The English club is organising several events near the grounds, during which targeted groups and the general public are interviewed to give their opinion on the extension project it is carrying out. After refurbishing one of the two main stands (the Main Stand) in 2016 to add around 9,000 seats, Liverpool FC plans to increase the total capacity of its stadium to over 61,000, giving the Anfield Road Stand an additional 7,000 seats.
