Serie A TIM: 3 Asian partners terminate their contracts with Inter Milan resulting in a loss of €55m

Three Asian partners of FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM) have activated their contract termination clause as of 01/07/2019, reducing the Italian club's sponsorship income by €55.2m for 2019-20, according to Inter Milan in its quarterly activity report published on 28/11/2019. Sponsorship income for 2019-20 would therefore amount to €75.3m, compared to €130.5m in 2018-19 (-42.2%).

The termination of the contracts of regional partners Full Share and King Dawn Investment will result in a loss of €20m at the end of the 2019-20 financial year (on 30/06/2020). The Chinese marketing agency Beijing Yixinshijie also terminated its contract, resulting in a loss of €25m.

For the third quarter ended 30/09/2019, sponsorship revenue amounted to €19.1m, compared to €27.7m for the same period in 2018-19. Revenues generated by regional partners have fallen from €20m to just under €9m. The club's new partnerships since 01/07/2019 (with Lenovo, Acronis, Hugo Boss, Rinascente, Linkem, A2A...) have generated a positive net impact of €6.6m.
