Premier League: Liverpool FC, the first club to offer a paid subscription via YouTube Memberships

Liverpool FC (Premier League) becomes "the first-ever global sports team" to introduce the "YouTube Memberships" offer on the online video platform YouTube, a service that allows users to receive benefits such as premium videos, in exchange for a monthly subscription, announced the club on 03/12/2019.

"Subscribers to the free offering can continue to enjoy all the video currently available at no cost, including fan favourites such as Inside Anfield, Bezzies and match highlights. For a small monthly subscription, supporters can now enjoy a whole host of new content within the new Liverpool FC YouTube Members area. The new service will make it even easier for fans to enjoy more content, when and how they want, on the world’s biggest video platform," said Liverpool FC.

The English club has two subscription rates via the "YouTube Memberships" service:
• for £0.99/month: two shows during each of the club's matches, pre- and post-match interviews, loyalty badges and personalised emojis on YouTube
