FIFA: Ooredoo (telecoms) becomes a national supporter of the 2019 Club World Cup in Qatar

The Qatari telecommunications operator Ooredoo, has become a national supplier of the Club World Cup 2019, held in Qatar, announced FIFA on 04/12/2019. The competition will take place in three stadiums in Doha, the capital of Qatar, from 11 to 21/12/2019.

Ooredoo has the status of "national supporter, the third level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the FIFA Club World Cup 2019. The company is the third Qatar-based company to become a national supporter after GWC (logistics, 19/11/2019) and The Look Company (visual identity, 02/12/2019).

"Ooredoo has strong ties to football and sport in general, having supported a number of recent local sporting events. We're thrilled that it will be bringing its expertise and enthusiasm to the FIFA Club World Cup. Companies like Ooredoo are essential for the successful delivery of the tournament," said Jean-François Pathy director of marketing services at FIFA.

Since 2013-14, Ooredoo has held the naming rights for the Camp des Loges, the current training centre of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama) in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines, FRA). The…
