Premier League: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (December 2019)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2019-20 Premier League season have over 482 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/12/2019. This total makes the Premier League the second most popular Top 5 European league on all the three social networks, behind LaLiga Santander, with an average of 24.1 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with over 126 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, with over 81 million and Liverpool FC, with 70 million. For the first time, the 2018-19 Champions League winners have over taken Arsenal FC (69.3 million) for third place.

Liverpool FC is in fact the Premier League club with the best growth in absolute value in November 2019, with just over 1 million more fans, including nearly 700,000 followers on Instagram alone. Tottenham Hotspur FC, second, posted a growth in absolute value of over 940,000 fans, partly due to the arrival of their new Portuguese coach José Mourinho on 20/11/2019.
