Serie A TIM: average of €489,000 from sleeve sponsorship for the 9 clubs under contract in 2019-20

9 of the 20 the Serie A TIM clubs have a sleeve sponsor in 2019-20, four more than in 2018-19, as of 05/12/2019. The Lega Serie A has enabled the Serie A TIM clubs to market a sponsorship space on their left shirt sleeve since the 2018-19 season.

The nine contracted clubs receive an average of €489,000 annually from their sleeve sponsors. These nine contracts represent a total of €4.4m, which is less than the amount received by Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama, €5m/year from QNB) or FC Schalke 04 (Bundesliga, €5.5m/year from DHL) from their sleeve sponsors. All of these agreements have been made by Italian companies. Of the six deals of which the duration is known, the average length of a contract is 1.6 seasons.

Juventus FC, FC Internazionale Milano, AC Milan, AS Roma and Societa Sportiva Lazio, the last five Italian champions (since 1999-20), do not have a sleeve sponsor. In the Serie A TIM, sleeve sponsorship appears to be less common than back shirt sponsorship: 15 clubs have a back shirt sponsor and receive an average of €670,000 per season (see below).
