Club World Cup: five of the eight matches will be played at the Khalifa International Stadium (QAT)

The Khalifa International Stadium in Doha (QAT), where the Qatar national team usually plays, will now be hosting five (instead of two) of the eight matches of the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019, announced the International Federation on 07/12/2019.

This change is due to the fact that the official opening of the Education City Stadium (one of the eight stadiums of the 2022 World Cup), where three matches of the competition that begins on Wednesday 11/12/2019 were scheduled to take place, has been "postponed until early 2020," according to FIFA, who explained that "construction at Education City Stadium is complete and the venue is now operational. However, the necessary certification process took longer than expected and therefore the stadium was unable to host the required test events prior to the semi-final and final of the FIFA Club World Cup at full capacity."

In addition to the two matches on 17/12/2019 (a match for fifth place and semi-final with CR Flamengo, winner of the Copa Libertadores), the Khalifa International Stadium will host the last three matches:
