Brighton & Hove Albion FC (Premier League) posted a record turnover of £143.4m (€159.9m on 30/06/2019) for the financial year 2018-19 (01/07/2018 to 30/06/2019), up 2.8% compared to 2017-18 (£139.4m, €157.3m at 30/06/2018), announced the club on 04/12/2019.

TV rights (£113.5m/€126.6m, +2.9%) represent 79% of the club's turnover and were the main source of revenue growth. Despite the increase in the latter for the club's second consecutive Premier League season, Brighton & Hove Albion FC posted a net loss of £21.2m (€23.6m) in 2018-19, compared with a net profit of £11.3m (€12.8m) in 2017-18.

"The change (between the two seasons) can be attributed to three main areas. Firstly, an increase in player wages, secondly player amortisation (transfer fees) and thirdly the additional costs of the change in the management team at the end of the (2018-19) season," said the club.
