Serie A TIM: FC Inter Milan to open an academy in Saudi Arabia, the club's first in the Middle East

FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM) will open an academy in the city of Abha, located in southwest Saudi Arabia, in January 2020, according to the Italian club on 05/12/2019.

The academy, which will be known as the "Inter Academy WER KSA", will be the first football school to be established by Inter Milan in the Middle East. "We are thrilled to announce the opening of this new Academy in Saudi Arabia. It is only further evidence of the club's ongoing growth internationally, especially in the Middle East, an area of fundamental importance to us," said Alessandro Antonello, corporate CEO of the Milanese club.

A coach will be deployed by Inter before the academy becomes operational in order to train local coaches in the club's training methods. "This new opening in Saudi Arabia further expands the borders of Inter Academy which now has 20 permanent projects, with more than 20,000 boys and girls and more than 400 local coaches involved all around the world," added Inter Milan.
