Arsenal FC: a turnover of £367.5m (-5.4%) and net loss of £19m in 2018-19

Arsenal Football Club plc posted a turnover of £367.5m (€409.9m on 31/05/2019) for the 2019 financial year (01/06/2018 to 31/05/2019), down 5.4% from 2018 (£388.6m/€438.6m on 31/05/2018), according to the London club's annual accounts published on 06/12/2019.

The decrease in Arsenal FC's (Premier League) turnover was solely due to the decline in matchday revenues, which fell from £99.8m (€112.7m) to £69.3m (€77.3m) between 2018 and 2019 (-30.5%). However, this decline can be explained by the year-end date of 31/05/2019, combined with Arsenal's participation in the Europa League final on 29/05/2019. Thus, the annual season ticket renewal campaign lasted longer than the previous season, extending beyond 01/06/2019, which means that a part of this revenue will be included in the 2020 turnover.

The club's largest source of revenue, TV rights amounted to £182.9m (€204m), of which only £36.6m (€40.8m) came from UEFA and rewarded Arsenal's run in the Europa League.
