LaLiga Santander: €1.42bn in TV rights revenue paid to clubs in 2018-19, including €166.5m for Barça

LaLiga redistributed €1.420bn in audiovisual revenues to the 20 clubs that participated in the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander, including €166.5m to FC Barcelona, the Spanish champions, who received the largest amount, according to the Spanish professional league, which published the distribution of TV rights revenues (domestic and international) per club on 12/12/2019. Clubs in the Spanish first received an average of €71m.

Club Atlético de Madrid, second in the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander table, received €119.2m, which was less than Real Madrid CF and its €155.3m despite finishing third in the table (see distribution criteria below). Far behind, in fourth place, Valencia CF received just €78.7m from TV rights revenue. Getafe CF, fifth in the league table, only received €50.5m, just €6.3m more than SD Huesca, who finished 19th in the table and gained the least (€44.2m).

In 2018-19, the ratio between the club that received the most and the club that received the least TV rights revenue in LaLiga Santander was 3.77, compared to 3.55 for the 2017-18 season and 3.7 in 2016-17.
