FC Bordeaux: King Street fund, majority shareholder of the club, to acquire the shares of GACP

"King Street Capital Management (American investment fund based in New York) has signed an agreement to acquire the shares of General American Capital Partners (GACP, American investment fund based in Florida) in FC Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 1 Conforama)," announced the club on 16/12/2019.

The two American investment funds had bought the Bordeaux club from the French audiovisual group M6 for €100m, on 06/11/2018. King Street had acquired 86.4% of the club's capital, while GACP 13.6%.

"GACP announces that it has concluded the agreement with King Street in the interest of the club and that it wishes every success to FC Girondins de Bordeaux in its future competitions. This agreement will allow FC Girondins de Bordeaux to guarantee stability and continue on its ambitious path," added the club.
