77 European Top 5 league clubs (out of 98, or 78.5%) have a main training kit shirt sponsor (front, chest, sleeve or back), as of 17/12/2019. 21 clubs do not have one (1 in the Bundesliga, 3 in LaLiga Santander, 3 in the Premier League, 5 in the Serie A TIM and 9 in the Ligue 1 Conforama).

10 clubs (13%) have a training kit sponsor different from their main shirt sponsors for matches. Since 2011-12, Manchester United FC (Premier League) has had a training kit sponsor different from its official main shirt sponsors: DHL (courier services) became the English club's training kit sponsor (2011-2013), while AON (insurance) has occupied this sponsorship space since 2013-14, while also being the title sponsor of the club's training complex (£21.5m/€23m per season).

Of the 10 clubs that have different sponsors on their training kit shirts and match shirts, five are from the Premier League, including Manchester City FC (with Marathonbet, £10m/€11.8 m per year) and Liverpool FC (with AXA).
