France: M6 acquires free-TV rights to best Europa or Conference League game per round (2021-24)

The private, free-TV television group M6 has acquired the rights to broadcast in free-TV, in France, the best game per round of the Europa League (or Europa Conference League, as desired), from UEFA, for the 2021-2024 cycle, according to French media L'Equipe on 18/12/2019. These 16 fixtures will be co-broadcast on the pay-TV channel Canal+, which acquired these pay-TV rights on 11/12/2019.

The rights to all other games of these two competitions (more than 260 per season in total) were acquired by the Spanish group Mediapro, for this same cycle, on 17/12/2019.

The rights of the Champions League, in France, were allocated over this period to Canal+ (best game on Tuesdays and Wednesdays), beIN Sports (all other games, 104 in total) and TF1 (final on free-TV) for an amount of €375m per year, on 11/29/2019.
