Brazil: Umbro, equipment supplier of Santos FC and Fluminense for 2020 (6 clubs in 2019)

Umbro, a brand of English origin licensed by the Royer Group based in New York (USA), has extended its partnership with Santos FC (Brasileirão Serie A) as a partner (first level) and equipment supplier for an additional season (2020), according to the Brazilian club's on 13/12/2019. Umbro has been a partner of Santos FC since 1997, for a total of 24 seasons.

Umbro also succeeded Under Armour as a partner and equipment supplier of Fluminense FC (Brasileirão Serie A) for the same 2020 season on 12/12/2019.

The English brand is therefore strengthening its position in the Brazilian top flight, as it was already the most represented equipment supplier in 2019 with six of the 20 Brazilian clubs under contract (for 12 different equipment suppliers in total). Three of these six clubs (Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, Chapecoense and Avai FC) have been relegated to the second division for the 2020 season. Of the four promoted in 2020, Sport Club do Recife were equipped by Umbro in 2019.
