FIFA: Noël Le Graët (FFF) assured of being reelected to the Council of the world body on 03/03/2020

Noël Le Graët, president of the French Football Federation since 18/06/2011 and member of the FIFA Council since 29/05/2019, is assured to be reelected to this Council by the next UEFA Congress in Amsterdam (NED), since he will be the only candidate for his post on 03/03/2019.

If the FIFA president of is elected by the full Congress (article 33, paragraph 2 of the statutes), the members of the Council are elected by the national federations at the respective congresses of the confederations (article 33, paragraph 3 of the statutes), in this case the UEFA Congress with regard to the European members of the FIFA Council.

However, the first vice-president of the German Federation, Rainer Koch "will stand for a seat on the UEFA executive committee, but he has withdrawn his candidacy for the FIFA Council in favour of the Frenchman Noël Le Graët," announced the DFB on 12/12/2019.
