Premier League: Manchester City best performing club on social media according to Accepted Socially

Manchester City are the Premier League's top performer regarding the management and use of their social networks for engagement with their fans and sponsors, according to a report by the British research and web-marketing advisory firm, Socially Accepted, published on 25/03/2014.

"Manchester City has long been lauded for its unrelenting commitment to social media and based on its current output it clearly maintains these exceptionally high standards. (...) As City’s on-field success continues, its fan-base grows but it remains accessible via social media, particularly Twitter, and still strives to develop close bonds with fans," said Accepted Socially in its report.

Accepted Socially ranked the 20 Premier League clubs based on four qualitative criteria: relevance of information, promotion of the club's commercial products, engagement with followers and creativity. Each criterion was rated out of 5, which gives a final total score out of 20.
