Tennis: Rafael Nadal (ESP) becomes an ambassador of Banco Santander (bank) from 2020

Banco Santander has become a partner of the Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal (number 1 in the world according to the ATP rankings on 02/01/2020) from 2020, announced the Spanish banking group on 31/12/2019. The partnership is a "long-term" agreement, according to the bank which owns the naming rights to the first two football divisions in Spain (LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank).

"Nadal, who was previously linked to the Group for several years through a partnership with Banesto (subsidiary of Banco Santander), will represent the bank in various campaigns and events in Spain and other countries, as well as Santander Private Banking globally," said Banco Santander.

Telefonica (telecommunications), Nike (equipment manufacturer), Kia (car manufacturer), Babolat (tennis equipment), Mapfre (insurance), Cantabria Labs Heliocare (pharmaceuticals), Richard Mille (watches), Technogym (fitness equipment, for the Rafa Nadal Academy) and AirEuropa (airline, for the Rafa Nadal Academy) are among Rafael Nadal's other sponsors.
