Serie A TIM: negotiations in progress for the sale of AS Roma to The Friedkin Group (USA)

"AS Roma SPV LLC, the company which indirectly holds the controlling ownership of AS Roma S.p.A through Neep Roma Holding S.p.A, hereby informs the Market that AS Roma SPV LLC and The Friedkin Group are in negotiations related to a potential transaction involving Neep Roma Holding S.p.A and its subsidiaries - including AS Roma SpA (herein after the 'AS Roma Group')," said AS Roma (Serie A TIM) on 29/12/2019.

Owned by AS Roma SPV LLC, a US-based company headed by American businessman James Pallotta, Neep Roma Holding S.p.A. owns 83.3% of the Roman club. The Friedkin Group is an American holding company based in Houston (Texas) whose companies are active in the automotive, tourism and entertainment sectors. The company is headed by the American billionaire Dan Friedkin.

"In the case of reaching any definitive agreements concerning a transfer of shares held in AS Roma SpA, AS Roma SPV LLC will provide the market with adequate information within the terms provided by the law," concluded the Italian club, which is listed on the stock market.
