eSports: Amazon signs 1^st partnership and becomes title partner of university tournament via GGTech

Amazon, a US e-commerce group, has partnered with GGTech Entertainment, a Spanish eSports event company, and has become the title partner of a university eSports tournament, which will be known as Amazon University Esports, according to the organizer of the competition on 03/01/2019. This is Amazon's first eSports partnership.

The Amazon University Esports is a Spanish university eSports competition extended to Italian establishments in 2020. "These developments will be joined by the change of venue of the Amazon University Sports League, which from this season is located in Alicante (ESP), in the facilities of the Digital District, where the headquarters of GGTech, owner of this competition, has also been installed," said Amazon.

"The winning League of Legends team (Riot Games) at Amazon University Esports will represent Spain and Italy in the European Championship, UEMASTERS (University Esports Master), in which teams from over 800 universities from 16 European countries are participating.
